Springsteen on Broadway Extended Through December
Due to the exceptional demand for the legendary prolific Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s series of concerts, Springsteen on Broadway has been extended into December.
Tickets for all performances can be found here.
This concert residency held at Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City officially opened on 3 October 2017. The run was expected to close at the end of the year but additional dates have been added until 30 June 2018. Due to the high demand for tickets the residency has been prolonged once more, this time until 15 December 2018. The show features Bruce, playing piano and guitar and performing solo his music but also reading excerpts from his autobiography. Springsteen explained why he created such an original show.
“I wanted to do some shows that were as personal and as intimate as possible. I chose Broadway for this project because it has the beautiful old theaters which seemed like the right setting for what I have in mind.”
He wanted to produce high value for the audience.
“My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung. It loosely follows the arc of my life and my work. All of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal to provide an entertaining evening” adds Springsteen.
This American musician has sold more than 140 million records worldwide and more than 64 million record in the US making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. He won 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and one Academy Award. He is being inducted into Songwriters HALL OF Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Kennedy Center Honors so he definitely has something to say.
Hurry up and buy a ticket for this amazing performance because even critics describe it as an intimate triumph and the most real and beautiful thing on Broadway.
