Don’t miss out this fun, love story that will entertain you during the festive season and buy your tickets here.

The musical is based on the 2007 indie film of late Adrienne Shelly that grossed $1,9 million domestically. The story revolves around a waitress Jenna, trapped in an abusive marriage and looking for a happy ending. When she unexpectedly becomes pregnant, she begins an affair with her gynecologist, Dr. Jim Pomatter, stared by Jason Mraz.

She enters a pie contest and sees a grand prize as a way out of her impossible situation. Jenna must find the strength and courage to rebuild her own life so this is not just a story of finding your prince charming but about woman who has to take action and discover her worth.

Waitress made its Broadway debut in April, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The U.S. national tour began on 20, October, 2017 and will continue until November 2018.

Tickets for all shows can be found here.

The play features original music and lyrics by a 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson, direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and choreography by the team’s new addition, Lorin Latarro so this play became the first-ever Broadway musical with an all-female creative team!

This is a historic and long overdue moment for Broadway and all members of the team are happy to be working with such passionate and inspiring women. Women in one creative role, let alone four, are still very rare on Broadway.

Over the last 41 seasons of Broadway musicals, only 1 in 10 directors, authors or composers were female. But women strive to change that over the last years. In 1998, Julie Taymor and Gerry Hynes became the first women to win two directing Tony Awards. Diane Paulus won Tony in 2013 and last year was the first an all-female composer-lyrics duo, Lis Kron and Jeanine Tesori, won the Tony. So women are definitely changing the practice on Brodway. Don’t miss out this first all-female creative team musical and get your tickets here.
